Parisan Breakfast

Miss Lily's dream is to visit Paris someday. I know she will make it there. For her 11th birthday she decided to celebrate Parisan style with her friends. We had a Parisan brunch.
( I always get pics before the craziness starts but never a lot of the party itself)

It was a relaxing morning with 13 girls gathered around our dining room table chatting about where their hearts dream of visiting one day.We had Paris Cafe music setting the scene in the background. 11 is too old for party games like pin the poodle on the Eiffel Tower, but we did a couple of activities.

The girls went on a French scavenger hunt throughout our home. They had a dozen clues, one leading to the next. They only stumbled on a couple. 13 minds did pretty good translating.

The bathtub was the last clue leading to a treasure of Skittles and Starburst candy.

The other activity was painting- lots of talented artist from Paris . .  .

Christmas Concert

It was Oli's first Christmas Concert and India's last for elem. school ( they only have k-2 do it) Oli lit up when he spotted us in the crowd-  Oliver had a speaking part. The mircrophone wasn't working, but I was so proud of his composure (I thought for sure he would do something goofy) He just stood there patiently . They  did such a sweet job spreading Christmas cheer.

Oh Little Town of Bethlemhem

Paisley and her buddy Kenai were Mary and Joseph for the Joy School Program

11 Candles

Miss Lily celebrated her 11th birthday. She is growing up to be such a beautiful young lady. I often see a glimpse of the person she is to become. I am thankful for her kind heart. She is a friend to all no matter how they act, what they wear, or how they look. Lily is so pure in heart. She chooses the right even when it isn't the popular thing to do. I am grateful to have such a loving spirit in our home. I feel so blessed to have her as my daughter. I love you Miss Lilian. x0x0

Santa Baby

serious and studying SC this year

Had to sit on Old St. Nick's lap if you wanted the candy cane

"And who the heck are you suppose to be"

Paisley was so funny. She sat on my lap as I took about 50 kids pictures with Santa. She cautiously watched and watched. She finally asked me what he was saying to them. I told her that he asks their name and what they want for Christmas. She decided that this was something she could muster the courage to take on. She sat on his lap and even smiled for my picture. Santa knew she was a tad nervous so he didn't ask her the questions, just snapped the picture and was ready for the next kiddo.

A few moments later I hear her little voice behind me in distress saying
Lipstick, Lipstick, Lipstick.
I forgot to tell him what I want for Christmas. She reminded me of Ralphie after he blanked out on Santa's lap and agreed to a football rather than his coveted BB gun.  She had to get back on Santa's lap to make sure he knew what she wanted.

Now she's a happy girlie

Finley Has Arrived

The morning Finley arrives for another season of pranks and reporting back to Santa, we get a fun breakfast. Snow covered donuts, snowballs, and Christmas cereal. Lots of sugar, just the way elves like it.

Let the Fun Begin .. . . . .
