What a Kindergartener Looks Like

 The second day of Kindergarten in reality is the real first day of school. Because mom isn't staying and he had to stay longer than 30 minutes. My bold, energetic, wild, crazy little guy was uncharacteristically shy, anxious, and quiet all morning. He was super nervous about going to school. He put a little stoway in his backpack for extra comfort.

1st day of Preschool

Paisley started Preschool today with her Joy School. She was sooooooo excited. When it came time to go she got a little apprehensive but soon adapted and had a super day with her friends Kenai, Jenna, Jerom, Summer, Sean, Annika, and Corbin. She always has the most adorable little twinkle in her eye.

1st day of Kindergarten

This little man has been waiting alllllllllll summer for this day. He has had major ants in his pants waiting for the first day of Kindergarten. Today couldn't come fast enough for this cute guy. Me, I was just fine waiting another year to have him home to play and cuddle with and be driven up the wall with, but inevitably they all can't wait for Kindergarten.

 

 

 Oliver has such a BIG amount of energy that I often forget how little he really is. I quickly remembered as I followed in his footsteps as he strutted down the hall at school looking for his classroom thinking he was big stuff.  He is such a little guy. You would think by now I would have this emotional sending my littles to Kindergarten stuff under control, nope, I still cry like a baby every time.

The first day of school is only about 30 minutes long. They put away their supplies, meet and greet the teacher, and go on a quick scavenger hunt to learn the layout of the school.

1 full size backpack- no wheels

1 dozen Dixon-Ticonderoga Pencils- yellow only

1 pencil box

1 set crayola crayons (Twistables preferred)

1 set broad classic colored markers (crayola)

4 whiteboard markers, skinny, black

2 erasers (pink pearl)

1 box Kleenex

1 pair scissors (Fiskars)

1 bottle Elmers white glue

4 glue sticks (scotch)

1 set watercolors

1 box Ziploc baggies- gallon size

1st day of 2nd grade

  I love this sweet girl. She is such a ray of sunshine.She is always on the lookout to help anyone. There were several new students at school, and even though India had a little bit of first day jitters she went right up to them and showed them around and introduced herself to them and others. I am excited to see all the wonderful rays of sunshine she shares this year.

First Day of 5th Grade

 Lilian was one excited girlie to start 5th grade today. She woke up at the bum-crack of dawn dressed and ready to go, almost 2 hours early. She then proceeded to wake up all the other littles one by one to share in her excitement. She is growing into a beautiful young lady, I am excited to see her shine in many ways this year.

1st Day of Junior High

 

 

You can tell Austin is so thrilled about his 1st day of school pics- actually I think he was just slightly nervous about the entire transition from Elementary School. He had a great first day. His locker totally stuck and wouldn't open so we greased it with WD40 at the open house night. It reminded me of the whimpy kid diaries and all the things that go wrong in 7th grade. I am excited for all the wonderful opportunities that lie ahead of him and pray that he will Be Brave, to always remember who he is and make good choices and choose good friends who have the same standards as him.
