Such a fun age of discovery- sat and looked for roly-poly's for almost an hour by himself outside.

Supermarket Smiles
Never a dull moment when you take this little to the supermarket.
I wish I got this excited going shopping for groceries- skipping down the aisles

Hello Beautiful World and Happy Earth Day

What a beautiful world we live in- blessed with so many things
to discover and enjoy!
Boston
With thousands of runners still on the course, the Boston Marathon had no finish line. Hundreds were injured and 3 lives taken. Images of Boston sidewalks covered in blood were shared with Americans. A day when the only thing that should have been shed was sweat and tears of victory was turned into a day of American history. Flags were lowered as we lowered our heads in prayer.
We can not control the actions of others but we can chose how we react or act. The thought of Boston's sidewalks being covered in American blood made my heart drop. Sidewalks should be for playing, walking, and connecting neighbors. We are thousands of miles from Boston- but we decided to send some love to them with a little sidewalk chalk art- because that is what sidewalks should be covered in- happy rainbows and colorful doodles.
With tragedy so many amazing stories of triumph and challenge arise. Stories of character that inspire us to do better and be grateful for our blessings. Stories that tear at your heart and wish the victims could feel all the love and tears that are being felt for them all over the country. Stories like the dance teacher who had never ran a race before and then lost her legs running her first race in the Boston Marathon. The littles made lots of cards- hugs to send in the mail to our friends we have never met in Massachusetts.

Although the world is full of suffering,
it is also full of the overcoming of it"

3,2,1, Blast Off
With a family of 8, going to the movie theaters is way out of our budget. If we are lucky, we may get to go once a year. But we have lots of fun movie nights at home that I hope the littles will remember a lot more than an $10 movie flick and a $15 bucket of popcorn.
On April 12, 1981 the first space shuttle was launched, so we had a little "rocket" movie night on the 12th. There's nothing like watching a movie in the family room in a cardboard rocket. . .I love these sweet littles to the moon and back!

Celebrity Dance
Celebrity Dance competition was a fun adventure- many talented dancers. It's always fun to see the different styles of dance academies. We can't take pictures of the dancers on stage- but snapped a few of Miss Lily getting ready before and after with her medal. They received High Gold and 2nd overall- not too shabby with the tough competiton. I love to see Lily transform on stage- she is a pretty quiet little lady but when she gets on that stage she is the queen of expressions and sas- So proud of you sweet girl.
( a big shout out THANK-YOU to all our sweet family and friends
who bought raffle tickets to support Lily- it helped with her competition fees- we
couldn't have done it without you- Thanks a bunch.
Congrats to Patty Weazer our raffle winner)

Sights and Sounds of Seattle
The city is a fun and exciting place to visit with 6 littles. An adventure awaits you behind every corner. It is a fantastic place to visit but I can't imagine living there- too much hustle and bustle.
It's a bird it's a plane its' . . .
Of course we had to make a quick stop at the ever sticky bubblegum wall
This guy is totally pulling the same face as Oliver without even knowing it- Oliver's grown-up twin in Seattle
Everything tastes better on a stick
Refuge from the rain
We didn't have a lot of $- so we found lots of simple and inexpensive things to find joy in at Seattle- A two minute ride on the monarail was a blast for littles who had never been on one.
